Handmade with Love

I’ve always had a love for making anything handmade.

Since I was a little girl, I grew up learning how to do everything by hand.  Whether it was cooking, sewing, knitting and just about anything handmade!

I learned from the best, my mother, who I also refer to as Superwoman.  The way she could practically do it all was fascinating to me.  She worked full-time, made our clothes, helped with homework and always had a homemade meal on the dinner table every night.  It always seemed a little bit like magic.

Although I never got the sewing and knitting skill quite like my mother, I still had a substantial creative bug.  I can’t even count the number of photo albums and scrapbooks I’ve made over the years.

I turned to cards when I was at the store one day and spent half an hour looking for one card.  I’d either already purchased that card before, found it was too expensive for what it was or just not impressive enough.

In the beginning, when I first delve into card making, EVERYTHING I did was entirely by hand.  All I had was my small Cuttlebug machine, some die-cuts, Copic markers, stamps, paper from Michael’s and a little inspiration.

I loved doing it that way. Don’t get me wrong. However, I wanted to do more.  I had more and more family and friends requesting further unique creations, which were very difficult, considering how I was operating at the time.

After tons of research, I decided the Cricut Explore Air 2 was what I needed to take my creativity to the next level.  The possibilities were endless!  Long story short, my Pop Up Box Cards and Invitations soon became my biggest hit.

I can’t wait to share all of my ideas and projects with you all!
